Meet Search Box

Sometimes works overlap and you might not find them through the tags such as Anime & Manga, College, etc. So use the search box (above or to the right) for another way to find essays or videos or anything you are looking for!

WAYS TO SAVE ON COLLEGE TEXTBOOKS

1. Use BigWords.com. It's a site that lists all the cheapest books available after you input the title and author or ISBN number. This site also gives discounts on particular books that you are planning to buy.

2. Look for e-books rather than paper books. Many sellers of paper books also offer e-books. A loaded Kindle or tablet is much lighter to carry around than six heavy textbooks. E-books are also searchable so it's easier to study during your midterms or finals.

3. Share with your friend. Split the cost of the textbook. And once you and your friend are done, sell the textbook to someone else. Never sell back to your school's bookstore: they give you the cheapest price back.

4. Track down students who took the course the previous semester. Find out if you really need the book or not. I had a professor in college who didn't use any books at all (he preferred having power points and in class discussions)! Since it's a requirement for professors to list the books needed for the class, you should find out (preferably from a person who recently took the class) whether books are necessary or not. This could save you hundreds of dollars.

5. Search for PDF files. Most colleges have printing grants per semester so you could print a few books or so before you have to pay out of pocket money. So before buying a book, search for it's PDF version online. If they have it, print it out.
